Senior Java Engineer (m/f/d)

Reporting to the Head of Quants you will be working closely with your colleagues in Quants but also various product owners, developers and traders company wide. THE CHALLENGE:

• Use ATDD/BDD techniques in your daily work

• Use a modern release process (Gitlab CI)

• A real opportunity to influence the design and technology

• Support the team in maintaining the codebase

• Help to analyse, evaluate and optimize existing predictive models

Required:

• Engineering leadership skills where people see you as a role model

• A test-first mindset where your values are aligned with engineering quality practices

• Strong programming skills enabling you to deliver software with high performance, availability, and throughput

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (preferably Java) and clean code/architecture principles

• Strong communication skills, fluency in English

• Creative thinking, keen to further refine systems and processes

• A personal interest in keeping up with the general trends of software product development

• A can-do attitude, take pride in own work and an ability to keep up momentum

Desirable experience:

• Worked in Agile development teams

• Experience with Maven & Gradle projects

• Cloud based services from AWS

• Distributed systems

• Message queuing (RabbitMQ, Kafka)

• Docker, Kubernetes

• Protobuf & GRPC
