What it is about: Heading our Digital Engineering team and drive the success of TRIDONIC

As the Head of Digital Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our digital engineering strategy. You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and advancing digital product development techniques through data analytics, physical simulation, and the use of artificial intelligence, managing a cross-functional team of 5-6 talented engineers. For this challenging, unique role within our organization we are looking for a dedicated, visionary engineering expert who masters the details of technology while always having in mind the "bigger, innovative strategic picture". The position is based in Dornbirn (AUT) and you will report to the "Director Global Technology & Innovation of Tridonic".

• You deliver data-based analytics and models to enhance product design and facilitate the creation of innovative business models, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• You provide modeling resources and capabilities to the global R&D organization to elevate the digital design of lighting components.
• You continuously evaluate and select appropriate tools, stay current with emerging technologies, and forge external partnerships to retain a best-in-class environment for product and service design.
• You actively promote your service offerings to peers and management in the company.
• You lead and inspire your team to peak performance, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• You allocate resources effectively and ensure that your team delivers high-quality solutions.

Your profile

• You have successfully completed a Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a closely related technical field and have a proven track record in engineering simulations within an industrial setting, demonstrating your practical expertise.

• You have profound knowledge of various simulation techniques, including finite-element methods, for thermal and mechanical simulations, computational fluid dynamics, electrodynamics, magnetics simulation, and electronic systems simulation.

• With the help of your effective communication skills, you manage to persuade stakeholders and internal customers, fostering collaboration and driving success.

• You are fluent in English (written and spoken), German is a plus.
