As a Product Owner Automation Studio, you will work closely with our product management, analyzing feedback from the market, translating it into features and defining how they should be developed. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the R&D team delivers on the mission of your product in time and budget. With your strong knowledge and expertise, you will support our experts in being the driving force to define and develop the best Engineering System for Industrial Automation in the market. Your product room, consisting of several development teams will be embedded in an agile development set-up and being part of our Product Group Software.

Your responsibilities

• Contribute to creation of vision and roadmap for the B&R Automation Studio
• Close cooperation with Product Management
• Define the product goals and own the product backlog for the Automation Studio
• Analyze and compare relevant competitor products
• Coordinate work with other Product Owners to ensure interoperability and regularly consult with the stakeholders of the product
• Create, prioritize, and explain the product features to be developed and judge which features are completed at the end of a sprint

Your background

• Studies in the field of Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent
• Experience in an agile development setup and familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
• Experience with software development processes and languages
• Understanding and Knowledge of Machine Automation including Security
• Open and pragmatic team player with hands-on mentality
• Good German and English skills
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to set clear priorities
