Aviagen is a primary poultry breeding company and we have a chick hatchery in Talladega County in AL. We are seeking an outstanding individual to fill a CDL driver position. This individual will initially be responsible for transporting equipment during construction.

The following duties will vary according to the needs of the department. Normal duties will include:

• Candidate will be responsible for delivering equipment to the construction site from existing hatcheries
• Maintaining Bio-Security and Animal Welfare protocols
• Adhere to DOT regulations including accurately maintaining electronic driver log entries requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Must have a current Class-A CDL driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding aspects of the job including loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Possess strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, customers and outside contractors.
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in the highest regard to quality and safety.
• Must follow company protocols and provide inputs for continuous improvement to all processes.
