Infineon Technologies is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and creative Systems Engineer with broad knowledge and experience to perform product definition and development on Gallium Nitride (GaN) Power Switches and Integrated Power Stage (IPS) for ≤100V low voltage (LV) automotive application. Candidates should be able to work individually as well as work with a diverse team under pressure to create competitive and innovative LV automotive GaN product. If interested apply today!

In your new role you will:

  • Deep knowledge of various types of switching mode power supply topologies and controls
  • Product experience with LV automotive power supplies and 48V power conversion systems, such as bus converter and POL converter is highly desired
  • Extensive experience in GaN power switch, its driving circuit, and its value proposition in LV power supply systems
  • Hands-on experience with design, debug, and lab testing of power converters
  • Solid understanding of magnetic component design for inductors and transformers
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor product definition and development process

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • MSEE or Ph.D, preferred with working experience in power supply or semiconductor industries
  • Experience in semiconductor product definition and/or applications engineering, and customer support is highly desired
  • Experience in semiconductor design, packaging and qualifications is a plus
  • Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams in the organization from program management to IC design, marketing, FAE's and sales to ensure companies success
  • Can effectively multi-task, manage priorities and solve technical problems independently
  • Self-motivated, self-learning, and a good team player
  • Good communication skills in both verbal and written English
