Manager Business Control (m/f/d)

for our Powder Solutions division

You are experienced in business controlling and are interested to further develop this important part of the business within our global organization setting.

We are looking for a strategic and analytic thinker to help us to drive our development towards a global and digital way of working by leading and developing further a diverse high performing team.

A few words about our Division

The Powder Solutions division is a world-leading provider of tungsten products used in the manufacturing of high-tech tools and metal powder for manufacturing technologies such as Metal Injection Molding and 3D printing. We serve a wide customer base spanning industries including automotive, aerospace, energy, infrastructure, electronics, and mining. With unique expertise and extensive experience, coupled with a strong focus on sustainability, we're well-equipped to further strengthen our current position and foster the growth of our business.

Your mission and responsibilities:

In this newly created position focusing on the Business Control for the Division Powder Solutions you will report to the CFO and ensure a good overview on our financial data to optimally support our business.

Your job

  • You lead the business control team by developing people, department, and processes.

  • You are ensuring the strategy and transformation for setting and implementing a business optimized controlling and reporting standard and further develop the financial processes aiming for high financial performance within all sites reporting into our division according to the Sandvik Financial Reporting Procedures

  • You and your team provide consolidated financial information for the performance management process, follow up on actual results, as well as validate business cases and investment proposals.

  • You and your team are working on rolling forecasts, analyze, and follow up on performance, and present your findings to provide actionable recommendations and support & drive decision making.

  • You contribute with your financial knowledge to various change and development projects.

  • You are driving the digital & data journey from a financial & controlling perspective to optimize processes, gain speed and add value for the business.

  • You support communication at all levels in the organization and closely work together within our internal stakeholders within the Sandvik Group

  • You closely and integrated work together with the Financial Control Department

The location for this position is preferably at our headquarters in St. Martin / Austria while other locations in Europe might be an option for the right candidate with approx. 50% of the time presence at the site. As this is a global role international travel is included in your job.

Your background and profile

We're looking for someone with a background from a similar role in finance or business control, preferably with experience within a larger listed company in a global matrix environment.

  • You have experience in leading teams and a passion for developing and empowering people.

  • Your theoretical knowledge is backed by a university degree within Finance or other relevant area.

  • You work proactively and systematically with an analytical mindset which thorough allows you to keep an overall view and at the same time, spot the details that make the difference.

  • You always stay updated and enjoy learning new things.

  • You have a passion for digitalization and use of new technologies and techniques.

  • We act in global context which calls for fluency in English (written and spoken) as well as German.

The location for this position is preferably at our headquarters at WOLFRAM in St. Martin / Austria while other locations in Europe might be an option for the right candidate with approx. 50% of the time presence at the site. As this is a global role international travel is included in your job. Based on the collective bargaining agreement we offer you an annual gross salary starting from EUR 90.000 for fulltime. Your actual salary will be market competitive and takes individual qualification and experience into account.
