Senior Principal Automotive E/E (SDV) System Security Engineer (f/m/d)

In order to accelerate the migration to Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and enable early engagement with the OEMs, our strategic objective is to develop system expertise on E/E architecture and SDV.

Role and Responsibilities

This role is to be a lead Security Engineer embedded in the vehicle E/E architectures organization at NXP. The objective of the SDV & E/E architecture lab is to build expertise at system level within NXP and to engage with the OEM advanced engineering team to offer support on sub-systems where NXP is building expertise. Such sub-system are leveraging NXP expertise and portfolio in processing, networking, power management, security and safety. The SDV & E/E architecture lead Security Engineer will as well be responsible to support the security aspects of software integration for some dedicated OEMs.

Job Summary

• Cybersecurity interface with key lead customers and partners

• Engage effectively with OEMs to build strong technical relationship on security

• Understand the different OEMs vision for future car security architecture

• Define system level security concept, hardware & software architecture and associated ISO/SAE 21434 work products to enable customers building a secure E/E architecture and SDV

• Support the hardware & software integration of NXP security solution at OEMs

• Perform System level security analysis

• Participate in Security Reviews and Assessments, internally and with customers

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Lines, CTO and technical security experts to define and implement an overall security solution positioning

• Engaging early with OEMs on security proof of concepts to successfully position on next platform generation

Core Competencies

• Proven track record of system security architectures and associated hardware & software integration according to ISO/SAE 21434 standard

• 5+ years of experience in automotive security at an OEM or Tier1

• Experience defining security system item definition, performing Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA), and defining security goals and security concepts

• Experience deriving system security concepts into hardware and software specifications

• Experience with security reviews and assessments

• Experience in security SoC architecture, security software and system security solutions that enable car architecture evolution

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

• Strong social skills
