In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures - Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar (with TotalEnergies, in the USA) - Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

  • Responsible for the operational sales activities for olefins with focus on customer relations, planning and pricing procedure and ensure undisturbed refinery operations and high utilization by managing the required sales and supply of olefins.
  • Manage interface with refinery production, planning, optimization, and logistics to ensure operational excellence in product delivery to customers as well as maximization of integrated margin and manage the pipeline transportation.
  • Identify and implement optimization potential of the olefin sales business.
  • Perform product specific market analysis for developing, closing and executing spot opportunities.
  • Assure the business interface in OMV with Petrom for propylene.
  • Management of customer relationship: Connect regularly, seek different perspectives and build relationship.
  • Support projects to adapt the refinery configuration to ensure production of products, which comply with market requirements and support the development of standardized pricing models and sales contracts for olefins.
  • Set up and monitor price and volumes boundaries per product to ensure highest integrated net back margin.
  • Reducing working capital by actively managing customer accounts and contracts and ensure legal compliance of all processes under responsibility.
  • Group wide operations responsible for cross-department key accounts (Borealis, Wacker, Vinnolit, Clariant).
  • Manage pipeline transportation (flow manager function).

Your profile

  • You have Master Degree in Economics or relevant technical subject.
  • You have minimum of 9 years relevant professional experience.
  • Deep understand of customer & commercial excellence.
  • Very strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with drive to maximize financial opportunities.
  • Understanding of and/or experience with refining chemical and finished products supply logistics streams.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking & structured approach.
  • Fluent in English.
