Subject Matter Expert Taxes

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise accounting activities (VAT reporting, reclassifications, Corporate tax calculations and accruals)
• Builds and maintains VAT and tax reporting calendar
• Tracks and coordinates tax reviews
• Documents the current & deferred tax calculation process and the VAT process per GB entity
• Monitors local legal changes, trains GL and Reporting team
• Perform SOX controls and propose improvements in manual control processes
• Coordinates VAT and Tax related statutory audit questions in the SSC under the supervision of Group Tax Director
• Works closely with Group Tax Manager in all tax related questions

Qualifications and education requirements

• Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting
• Minimum 7 years of practical experience in VAT and Tax
• Understanding of SOX controls, experience in an international SOX and IFRS accounting environment
• Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel, experience in working with accounting software's
• Advanced understanding of accounting ERP modules
• Excellent English language skills (oral & written), other language is a plus
