As a Data Steward at Scalable you will play a pivotal role in the company's data journey ensuring integrity, quality and security of our organisation's data assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data management policies, procedures and standards. This is a great opportunity for a data-oriented professional who is passionate about data governance and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Documentation of data landscape, data quality and related processes
  • Data lifecycle management
  • Develop and ensure data standards
  • Define and execute data ownership concept
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards
  • Monitor and assess the quality of data across various systems
  • Maintain metadata repositories and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data dictionaries and data lineage
  • Collaborate with IT, security & legal teams to ensure data security and privacy compliance
  • Create processes for data collection, storage and security
  • Collaborate with business units to define and maintain data quality standards and metrics
  • Be a translator between technical and business departments
  • Work closely with data owners and other stakeholders to resolve data related issues
  • Provide guidance and support for data-related initiatives and projects
  • Provide training on data management best practices

Qualifications

  • University degree in technical or business field: management, computer science, natural sciences or similar
  • Experience in data management, data governance, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles and practices
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security aspects
  • Experience with data management and cataloguing tools (e.g., Collibra)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
  • Passion for data and data-driven way of working
  • Structured work style and self-organisation
  • Strong business and data domain understanding
  • Positive outlook on life and sense of humour

Scalable Capital offers competitive compensation and benefits based on the performance, experience and qualifications of its employees. Due to Austrian legal requirements, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. This corresponds to the minimum annual gross salary according to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Of course, we are prepared to offer a higher salary depending on the individual situation (experience, responsibility, specialist knowledge and skills).
