We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Chef specializing in Indian Cuisine to join our team in Vienna. Our production kitchen serves high-end airline clients, and we are looking for someone with relevant experience in cooking Indian cuisine in similar operations.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Indian cuisine section in our production kitchen. You'll supervise and lead a team of chefs, while also training and mentoring them in Indian cuisine techniques, ingredients, and cooking methods.

Your keen eye for detail and dedication to excellence will ensure that food preparation and presentation adhere to both company and industry standards. With your leadership skills, you'll be able to manage inventory and purchasing of Indian cuisine ingredients, equipment, and supplies.

  • Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Manage stock and ordering supplies, including authentic Indian ingredients, ensuring that all products are fresh and of the highest quality
  • Continually review and improve processes to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of output
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of food, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency
  • Managing and training a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Maintaining the highest levels of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Travel to international events (Formula 1, UEFA Champions League Final, ATP Madrid, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in high-end operations cooking Indian cuisine
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian ingredients, techniques, and flavours
  • Experience in managing a team of kitchen staff
  • Ability to create and develop menus that showcase both traditional and innovative Indian cuisine
  • Excellent communication in English - Indian is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
