Your personal sphere of influence:

As a university assistant prae doc, you will strengthen the ANTIOX working group at the Department of Nutritional Sciences. With your expertise in the field of human studies and biostatistics
you will enrich our young, interdisciplinary and creative team which focuses on national and international collaboration.
Together with PostDocs you will work on human studies, in particular the Shift2Health project and epidemiological studies. You will publish the knowledge gained in prestigious scientific journals.

Your future tasks:

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You will be involved in research projects and human studies

  • You will analyze data sets using advanced statistical methods

  • You will focus on biostatistics

  • You will publish your results internationally

  • We expect you to complete your dissertation agreement within 12-18 months

  • You will work on and complete your dissertation

  • You will teach courses independently in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement

  • You will take on administrative tasks in research and teaching

This is part of your personality:
  • Completed Master's degree or Diploma, in life sciences, natural sciences or statistics or similar fields of study with a biostatistical focus
  • Ideally experience with biostatistical methods
  • Initial knowledge of R, ideally also knowledge of STATA or SAS, or the motivation to build this up quickly
  • First experience in scientific writing
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • You should be a team player with high social skills
What we offer:

Contract duration: The contract duration at the time of employment is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-extension within the first 12 months.
