As a Product Owner Industrial IoT and Simulation, you will work closely with our product management, analyzing (feedback from the market) market needs, trends and feedback and translating it into valuable features for our customers. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the R&D team delivers on the mission of your product in time and budget. With your strong knowledge and expertise, you will support our experts in being the driving force to define and develop Industrial IoT software and Simulation software solutions. As part of the Digital Factory Team you will be embedded in an agile development set-up and being part of an international team in our Product Group Software.

Your responsibilities

• Strategy: Define and champion a compelling strategy for our Industrial IoT applications, reimagining the benchmark for simulation, digital twin and data analytic tools in today's dynamic digital landscape.
• Formulation of detailed user stories, including clearly defined acceptance criteria, to ensure that the development objectives are understood and met.
• Evaluate, define, select, and own the architecture and technology for the development of applications and ecosystems in the field of Industrial IoT, Simulation and Digital Twin.
• Data Analytics & ML: Pioneer the introduction of advanced data analytics and machine learning utilities, enabling users to derive valuable insights from diverse datasets.
• Managing the development of our simulation platform and digital twin offerings across the entire lifecycle of our automation solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage consistently with users, tech squads, and a broader spectrum of stakeholders, refining the product based on real-world feedback and needs.
• Conduct scrum meetings, maintain development backlog and assign work to a global development team.

Your background

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of Data, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related domain. Emphasis on IIoT, Simulation, Digital Twin, cloud integrations, or AI would be advantageous.
• Experience: At least 4-6 years in a product owner capacity, ideally with notable experience in IIoT platforms, browser-based applications or full-stack development.
• Industrial IoT Expertise: Profound grasp of contemporary IIoT platform technology, Data Analytics, Edge technology, Shop Floor Connectivity, OT Security and the associated challenges and opportunities they encompass.
• Simulation Expertise: Ideally, you have expert knowledge and professional experience with simulation software for physical systems, preferably mechatronics.
• Familiarity with Machine Automation Technology (OT) would be a plus.
• Ability to meet deadlines and switch effortlessly between business and technical terminology.
• Good understanding of machine learning methods and tools.
• Good German and English skills.
