In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures - Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar (with TotalEnergies, in the USA) - Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

  • Performing and coordinating a relevant periodic reporting and forecasting in a complete, timely, comprehensive and self-reliant way.
  • Taking part in the preparation of group consolidated budget, mid-term planning and strategic long term financial planning.
  • Supporting and suggesting of implementation of OMV controlling guidelines, regulations and standards.
  • Assisting the delivery of management information, analyses and business critical KPIs (earnings, cash flow, capital expenditures, operating cost, working capital, etc.) to OMV management on a regular and ad-hoc basis as well as taking part in creation of financial analysis, aide in interpretation of variances from budgets and standards, and assisting in creation of advice to management.
  • Supporting in the maintenance and up-to-date setup of relevant controlling systems, assisting in further development of reporting tools and reporting contents in close alignment with divisions as well as analyzing and drafting controlling input and contributing to the introduction of new Controlling & Reporting tools (i.e. Power BI).
  • Aligning relevant activities within the Group, especially Finance & Controlling departments and respective controllers in the Business segments as well as other corporate functions.

Your profile

  • Master's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling or similar.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, TM1, SAP).
  • Solid understanding of financial models and budgeting.
  • Advanced knowledge about state-of-the-art controlling tools and how to apply them in a corporate environment.
  • Good communication, analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Very good English skills.
