In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures - Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar™ (with TotalEnergies, in the USA) - Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

• Take responsibility and be a leading authority for Process Safety
• Applying state of the art technologies in the Oil & Gas and Chemical business
• Willing to join our digital journey towards safety excellence
• Performing complex functional tasks in the area of Process Safety (e.g. audits, quality checks in HAZOP's, checks in the Integrated Risk Register-IGRR)
• Select and apply a wide range of discipline tools and processes to deliver Process Safety objectives (e.g. IGRR, Software solutions for PHA’s etc.)
• Coordinate Risk Management activities like IGRR workshops
• Perform life saving rules assessments (production sites)
• Participate in Process Safety reviews, audits, incident investigations, tollgate reviews and lessons learnt
• Develop functional specific Process Safety plans for operations and projects and support the implementation of these plans

• Master's Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, preferrable in the Oil&Gas or Chemical Business (operations/asset/integrity/process engineering or technical safety).
• Experience in plant operations preferred.
• Good communication and facilitation skills.
• Excellent team player
• Very good English language skills.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 107.604,-- all in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.
