Staff Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage corporate credit card and fuel card program -main point of contact for all Aviagen employees regarding cards.
• Maintain and administer the corporate credit cards and fuel card holders in expense reporting software (Workday). Review coding of credit card transactions for accuracy and post activity monthly.
• Review all expense reports for non-reimbursable credit card activity for accounting approval and post to the accounting system.
• Responsible for financial month end tasks related to the areas of responsibilities; including reconciling GL accounts, recording accruals and reviewing accounts for accuracy.
• Title and tag Aviagen owned and tag leased vehicles, communicating with procurement and operations and annual tag renewals.
• IRP (International Registration Plan) vehicle IFTA reporting.
• Assist in other project-oriented tasks and duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Agriculture knowledge or experience a plus.
• Minimum 4-7 years' experience in accounting roles.
• Capable of analyzing data, to reason and reach conclusions with minimum guidance.
• Competent in the application of accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• A team player who possesses problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A self-starter and be able to complete duties and responsibilities.
• Dependability, accuracy, and highest integrity are essential.
