Internship - Information Security (d/m/f)

• Assist in the development and enforcement of information security policies and procedures.
• Participate in the analysis and response to security incidents, including initial investigation, documentation, and remediation.
• Support the team in managing security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in penetration testing activities to identify security weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Assist in security awareness training for employees, helping to develop educational materials and presentations.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all facets of the company's operations.
• Participate in the evaluation of new security technologies and trends.
• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program (HTL, TU, FH, university etc.) in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A basic understanding of information security principles, including areas such as network security, application security, and incident response.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication in German and English, as well as teamwork abilities.
• Eager to learn and stay updated with the latest in information security and technology.
• Previous internship or project experience in information security is a plus.
• Programming or scripting experience (e.g. PowerBI, Python, Bash) is advantageous.
