System Administrator (all genders) Opencast at TU Wien

Full-time (40 hours per week) | Entry possible from 30 hours per week | indefinite-term

In the Service Unit of Educational Technologies TU Wien is offering a position as System Administrator (all genders) Opencast immediately Full-time, entry possible from 30 hours per week).

Tasks:
  • Supervision and moderation of the video portal LectureTube and communication with customers
  • Responsibility for the overview and planning of auditorium equipment in relation to LectureTube
  • 2nd level support for the streaming infrastructure in lecture halls
  • Configuration and monitoring of our applications (TUWEL Admin, LectureTube Admin, etc.)
  • Writing (technical) documentations.
  • Configuration/programming of all devices in lecture halls equipped with LectureTube (>40 lecture halls)
  • Maintaining the homepage and all information pages.
  • Interface to the Department of Building and Technology and to the Center for Strategic Teaching Development
  • University-wide public relations activities regarding our existing and future services
  • Participation in internal projects (e.g., event/conference organization) and in the open source community
Your profile:
  • Solid technical understanding
  • Ideally familiar with video management systems (Opencast, Kaltura, YouTube, etc.)
  • Experience in support (1st and 2nd level support) and ticketing systems (Jira, Redmine, etc.)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Customer and service orientation
  • Know-how in creating graphical and structural documentation
  • Ideally familiar with online learning tools like Moodle
