In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures - Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar (with TotalEnergies, in the USA) - Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

Our business

Your tasks

• Develop negotiation strategies and deliver agreements/contracts for LCB (Low Carbon Business) and E&P (exploration & production) business, including License Agreements, JV (Joint Venture) Agreements, and Hydrocarbon Sales Agreements.
• Provide counsel to the business and senior management on commercial strategies, leveraging market insights and industry expertise.
• Support project business case development and procurement contracting strategies to optimize costs and timelines.
• Manage and participate in JV Commercial Committees, ensuring alignment with business objectives and facilitating decision-making processes.
• Conduct market research and analyses to identify sales opportunities, develop strategies, and drive value creation through commercial initiatives.
• Assist top management for commercial in JV negotiations and address various commercial challenges, such as efficiency improvements, dispute resolutions, and sales strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports and proposals for senior management, facilitating internal alignment processes with stakeholders across HQ and Joint Ventures.
• Contribute expertise to LCB and E&P projects, including commercial due diligence and benchmarking commerical asumptions for informed decision-making.

Your profile

• Master Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Legal or Engineering.
• Minimum of 9 years relevant working experience in commercial roles within the Oil & Gas/ energy or utility industry.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex commercial agreements and driving revenue growth.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct market research and analyses to identify opportunities and trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Fluent in English.
