The Position

The RWD Partner is an internal subject matter expert across disease areas, responsible for pursuing the real-world data (RWD) strategy. In this role, you will strategically advise and support internal stakeholders (e.g. squads, medical or access related roles) in identifying and closing data/evidence gaps. You will also lead and drive forward evidence generation project and/or activities, design local RWD study protocols, plan RWD studies (including budgeting), provide input to data dissemination strategy, and manage both internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will coach team members and others across the organisation in applying the appropriate methodologies. Facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for the environment.
  • You will be accountable for the delivery of early accessible or evaluated data-driven products or services and services in relation to projects to which they will be assigned.
  • You will ensure that the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on what is most important for the project.community in the area of project management.
  • You will partner with the global and local RWD communities (e.g Innovation Hub Squad Austria) to develop and implement innovative and effective solutions for that.
  • You will be shaping the new mindset on how to better utilise health data for research. In your role you can grow as RWD strategist and expert.
  • You are responsible for driving forward the development of a RWD strategy and integrated evidence generation plan within our local and global agile medical research community which will enable the sharing of RWD and RWE driven insights and the development of new knowledge and understanding across the community.
Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree in Medical or PhD in Life Sciences and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the field of Real World Data.
  • Training in a quantitative field (data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics) and/or Master's and/or doctorate in medical sciences, data science, biostatistics or epidemiology is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
