Audio Machine Learning Engineer

We are sonible, a young tech company from Graz (Austria) that develops outstanding software and hardware solutions for the global audio market. We are passionate engineers, nerdy tinkerers and focused doers and count successful music producers, well-known artists and renowned research institutions among our international customer base. To strengthen our multi-disciplinary team, we are now looking for support in the exciting field of machine learning (ML) and digital audio signal processing (DSP) for creating the future of music software at sonible.

Audio Machine Learning Engineer

• You play a central role in researching, (re-)designing, implementing and evaluating new ML driven approaches for audio processing.
• You prototype new concepts and adapt existing algorithms and models to best fit real-life requirements (e.g. as part of audio plug-ins).
• You work closely together with the product management team and other developers to foster new ideas and features into market ready products.
• You are part of a team defining and structuring sonibles technology roadmap for the upcoming years.

• You are an experienced machine learning engineer and already worked on practical applications in the field of digital audio signal processing, machine learning or Music Information Retrieval.
• You have advanced programming skills (Python, C++) and already worked with different signal processing libraries. Experience in working with data (data preparation, processing, analysis and management) is a plus.
• You have a solid understanding of modern ML architectures, the practical deployment of ML models and you are familiar with frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow.
• You feel comfortable navigating the Linux command line and you are knowledgeable around Git and Docker.
• You have a Masters degree or equivalent in audio signal processing or a related field.
• Its a nice benefit if you are familiar with existing audio production technologies and enjoy working creatively with music.

Working hours: 30-38,5h/week

Location: Graz (central location) or hybrid

Salary: EUR 54.000,- per year for full-time employment (38,5h/week) according to the IT Collective Agreement. Overpayment depending on your qualifications and experience.
