Technical Support (all genders) Opencast

Full-time (40 hours per week) | Entry possible from 30 hours per week | indefinite-term

In the Service Unit of Educational Technologies TU Wien is offering a position as Technical Support (all genders) Opencast immediately (Full-time, entry possible from 30 hours per week).

Tasks:
  • Telephone support for LectureTube and related services
  • Central contact person in our user helpdesk for incidents, service requests, and problems
  • Assistance in lecture hall support for LectureTube
  • Processing and documentation of inquiries, analysis of the cause of disruptions, and problem solving
  • Creation and maintenance of (user) documentation
  • Independent conception and ongoing implementation of training for TU members
  • Maintenance of the IT internal knowledge base
  • Participation in internal projects (e.g., event/conference organization)
  • Collaboration in the software engineering process
  • Configuration and programming of HS Touchpanels
  • Processing of LectureTube recordings with the help of Opencast workflows
  • Management and support of the processing pipeline in LectureTube (Opencast)
  • Remote maintenance of the LectureTube recording units
Your profile:
  • Solid technical understanding
  • Ideally familiar with video management systems
  • Experience in support (1st and 2nd level support) and ticketing systems (Jira, Redmine, etc.)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Customer and service orientation
  • Know-how in creating graphical and structural documentation
  • Ideally, knowledge of online learning tools such as Moodle
  • Digital competencies and analytical skills
  • Organization and planning/project management
  • Willingness to innovate and knowledge sharing

Entry level salary is determined by the level IIIB of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,958.90/month gross, 14 times/year for 40 hours/week.
